Oral Trepostinil for PVD

United Therapeutics has studied the treprostinil molecule for more than 10 years in peripheral ischemic conditions such as peripheral arterial disease, critical limb ischemia, and digital ulcers associated with systemic sclerosis (scleroderma). Promising results have been described in a number of publications and presentations. To build on these intriguing data, the company is studying the effect of oral treprostinil (UT-15C) on net ulcer burden in a large Phase 2 trial in patients with scleroderma.
